Delete your Pro-cess account

Which one do you need? #

This page is for people who use Pro-cess, on the website or in the Pro-cess app, to run a business. There are two things you can ask for.

  • Close your business. This removes the whole business from Pro-cess: every login, and all the customers, bookings and records in it. Only an owner of the business can ask for this.
  • Delete your own login. This removes you and leaves the business as it is. Anyone can ask for this, apart from the only owner of a business: a business must have an owner, so the only owner either makes someone else an owner first or closes the business.

In the Pro-cess app #

Open Settings and choose Close my business or Delete my login. We ask for your password again, show you what will happen, and do it as soon as you confirm.

If your business has a plan with us, the app will ask you to email us instead, so that we can stop the plan at the same time and you are not charged again.

Without the app #

To delete your own login, sign in on the website, open your profile and choose Delete Account.

To close your business, or if you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the email address you sign in with. Tell us the name of the business and which of the two you want. We may ask a question to check it is you, and we will do it within 2 working days and write back to say it is done.

What is deleted, and when #

When a business is closed, everyone is signed out straight away, nobody can sign back in, and its booking page goes offline. For 90 days we hold it so that it can be brought back if the owner asks. After 90 days we delete the business and everything in it for good: its logins, customers and their pets, bookings, photos, consultation forms, messages, quotes and invoices. Save a copy of anything you need to keep before you close.

When a login is deleted, that person is signed out everywhere and can no longer sign in. The work they did for the business (for example the bookings they carried out) stays with the business, because it is the business's record.

Copies in our encrypted backups are deleted within a further 30 days.

What we keep #

We keep only what the law requires us to keep. That is the invoices and payment records between your business and Pro-cess, which we keep for 7 years for HMRC. Our Privacy Policy has the full list.

If you are a customer of a business #

If you booked with a business that uses Pro-cess, that business holds your details and decides what happens to them. Ask the business to delete them. If you cannot reach the business, email [email protected] and we will pass your request on.
